Are we making the most of our opportunities or are we falling behind? If so, what is holding us back and how can we change that?

Moshe Feldenkrais found a way to approach these central questions of life, not in thought, but in actual experience, based on the way we move. With his Method, we can turn our intentions into actions, reducing unnecessary effort and tensions, learning to feel what we are doing.

But isn’t this natural? Why would I make my life more difficult than it needs to be?

Because certain ways of moving are deeply rooted in my habits, so deeply that I don’t even realize it.

And how can I change that?

By reducing effort and focusing my attention on the quality of movement.

And then?

Then the unnecessary becomes noticeable, and we can let it go. Then I discover a lightness and ease that brings me closer to my inner potential.

In this workshop we will learn the basic principles of the Feldenkrais Method^® through practical experience. We will explore different movement sequences designed by Moshé Feldenkrais, and we will complement them with basic ideas and concepts. In addition, we will open a space for dialogue to answer questions and doubts that future students may have about different aspects of the new training.

Sabina Graf-Pointner (Germany)

International Trainer & Pedagogical Co-Director of the Feldenkrais Professional Trainings in Nürnberg (Germany) and Barcelona. She studied Social Pedagogy in Munich and has a wide experience in different fields of dance and somatic techniques. She trained in the Feldenkrais Method with Mia Segal (the main assistant of Moshe Feldenkrais) and has been teaching Feldenkrais work for 30 years. She is the author of numerous articles and essays on topics related to the Feldenkrais Method and is known for her unique way of integrating and presenting the practice and theory of the Method.
