CONTEMPORANY DANCE
Contemporary dance thrives on a constantly evolving body language, with movement at its core. Beyond a continually evolving technique, it offers an open and inclusive approach. As teachers committed to ongoing learning, we integrate new insights from the performing arts and the field of somatics into our classes.

Through dynamic activities and games, children develop awareness of their own bodies in motion, as well as their relationship with their surroundings. We encourage organic learning, creating contexts in which children cultivate creative sensitivity, expressiveness, and a sense of rhythm.
Why enroll children in dance classes?
The benefits are multiple:

MOTOR DEVELOPMENT
At the motor level, dance classes naturally promote coordination, balance, and flexibility.

CREATIVE EXPRESSION
Through dance, children discover their creative potential and learn to channel and express their emotions and feelings.

BUILDING TRUST
The group is essential for growth and development: experiencing learning and creative processes alongside others strengthens self-confidence and relationships with others.

EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Dance connects children with their own unique talents. The body is an essential channel for accessing emotions and sensations, essential for healthy emotional development.

FUN GUARANTEED
Play is the driving force behind our activities, making learning dance a joyful, motivating, and meaningful experience. Fun guaranteed!

Thursday 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM · 6 - 8 years old

At this stage, children continue to explore and expand their body awareness, now in a larger space. Classes in the large room stimulate their sense of direction and use of space, while they gradually begin to integrate the technical foundations of contemporary dance, always through play and imagination.
Improvisation and music are key elements that accompany the entire learning process, facilitating mastery of the different qualities and textures of movement. In this way, children develop their ability to explore their bodies and expressive possibilities.
Through these dynamics, they build their own creative universe and discover new ways of communicating through their bodies.
In the final stages, they acquire the tools necessary to learn and create choreographic sequences, consolidating their technical understanding and expanding their expressive resources.
At the end of this phase, they are ready to move on to the Youth class, where they can choose a more professional approach or enjoy dance as a creative activity that complements their development.

In the contemporary dance class for young people, we offer tools that favor the development of their technical and creative skills.
Through our knowledge and experience in movement, we guide you in the essential directions for your artistic growth.
Through the exploration of the body in movement, we foster values that will be useful whether you want to follow a more professional path or enjoy it as a complementary educational activity.

Wednesday 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Teacher: Hervé Costa
The contemporary dance class focuses on knowledge and connection with one's own body.
Through the mobilization and construction of small movement sequences, we explore the relationship and use of land, the different ways of moving through space, and the full range of energies that give life to movements.
Moving from a place of pleasure and availability is essential for this kind of initiation.

Tuesday 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Teacher: Hervé Costa
In the intermediate/advanced level class, we increase the technical and creative demands. The movement sequences are more complex, which promotes the development of coordination, memory, and body awareness in space.
The body and all the possibilities it offers us serve as a guide for exploring new languages of movement.
The technique becomes a means to enhance expression, allowing access to multiple contemporary choreographic trends. It is ideal for those looking to deepen their practice and develop their skills comprehensively.

Tuesday 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Teacher: Hervé Costa
This workshop offers an approach to dance movement through guided improvisation and specific tasks that will help you develop a more conscious and agile body.
In addition, it promotes listening, collaboration, and creation, both individually and in groups, allowing for a shared and enriching experience.
It is a class designed to enjoy movement and experience dance, without the need for prior knowledge.

Wednesday 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Reacher: Sara Sanguino
In this class, guided by sequences from the Feldenkrais Method, we move from observation and self-awareness to shared expressive movement. The Feldenkrais Method offers a unique and personal approach that helps us understand how we move.
As dance professionals, experiencing these sequences made us feel the need to continue exploring, integrating what we had learned and sharing this experience with others. The best way to channel this feeling was to create a context conducive to exchange, establishing a dialogue between the Feldenkrais Method and dance, and vice versa.
To bring this dialogue to life and resonate with genuine, expressive movement, we use guided improvisation and carefully curated music. It's a slow, progressive journey toward a unique dance experience.
Come and live your own experience; no prior knowledge is required.
