LUPE CANO

Lupe Cano is part of the team of Obrador de Moviments since its inception, contributing to the project with her experience and passion for movement, where she particularly enjoys her work as a teacher of Feldenkrais Method and movement with the little ones.

Lupe is an actress, teacher, and Son Jarocho singer whose professional career began in 2001. Throughout her career, she has participated in more than twenty theatrical productions, primarily in Mexico and Barcelona. In addition to her acting work, Lupe is an accomplished teacher specializing in movement disciplines.

Originally from Mexico, Lupe trained as an actress at the National School of Theatre Arts of the National Center for the Arts, where she acquired a solid theatrical foundation. She later specialized in various techniques, such as improvisation, the Clown method, and sensorial theater, expanding her repertoire and deepening her understanding of artistic and body language.

Throughout her career she has worked in various theatre companies and projects, highlighting her participation with the Teatro de los Sentidos Company in productions such as Saborear recuerdos (2023), Almarios (2021-2022), Renacer (2019-2020) and El hilo de Ariadna (20). She has also been part of the Corazón de maguey Company, participating in the play Mexicatas, written by Sergi Belbel and directed by Antonio Calvo, which premiered at the Fira Tarrega in 2018 and was performed in several seasons throughout Catalonia between 2019 and 2022.

Since 2020, Lupe has expanded her work into the audiovisual field, participating in six fiction projects in which she has collaborated with renowned creators such as Alauda Ruiz de Azua, Alberto Rodríguez, Hector Lozano, Menna Fité, and Anaïs Paretto. She has also been part of Marta Ferrer’s documentary Bálsamo (TV3) and the audio series Las casa de noviembre (November Houses) (Podimo), produced by El Terrat. Her experience in the audiovisual sector extends to collaborations on international projects, working with figures such as Gary Freedman, Ian Pons Jewell, and actress Eva Longoria.

In the field of movement, Lupe is a certified Feldenkrais Method teacher (graduated in 2015) and has training in Dance Movement Therapy (postgraduate from the UAB) and Body Mind Centering. She has worked for several years in the educational and artistic fields with infants and young children, focusing on development and movement from a somatic perspective.

Lupe has been part of the Obrador de Movimientos team since its inception, contributing her experience and passion for movement to the project. She particularly enjoys her work as a Feldenkrais Method teacher and teaching movement to children.
